Days 8 and 9: Lani and Rabid, and me as a bird.
Adam and I are starting a 30-Day Challenge for ourselves! We draw ourselves (or just something that we can think of!) for 20 minutes every day.
Day 1! I was chipping wood in my Fundamentals of Design class today.
Aww it’s okay!! :>
To be quite honest, I’m probably the worst person to ask this question.. since how I usually make new characters is draw a couple of random designs, and go with the one I like until I want to change it up in certain places if I feel like it XD
A better approach to something like this is to first think about their early background. Where do they live/where were they born? What was their childhood like, and did it affect their behavior in the future? Another important question to think about is what was their culture like? If you keep asking these and other questions to yourself and researching to your content, you’ll eventually get an answer (or a few) that you like! Laying a nice base down for your character will make designing them a whole lot easier for you in the end. But do keep in mind—if you’re trying to base a character in the real world or look off of something as inspiration and make it part of your character rather than a fantasy/fiction character that you’re not trying to base off of anything, you’ll probably have to do more research!
I hope that any smidge of this even helps, and if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! :D
